Anna is passionately dedicated, with creativity and perseverance, to even the most complex cases and navigates with equal determination through a world of uncertainties to implement the best possible solution for you. She is trained to analyse complex products with multiple interfaces to different technology areas and to advise clients in close coordination with the respective experts. In particular, Anna deals with a wide range of issues relating to customised IP in connection with AI in the life sciences.
Anna studied science with a focus on applied microbiology and biotechnology. After a research visit at the Research Center Jülich part of the Helmholtz Association, she pursued further scientific activities in the development departments of Henkel KGaA and Bayer AG. She did her phD in the field of applied microbiology/biotechnology.
On her path to becoming a patent attorney, she completed training at the Patent Litigation Chamber of the Regional Court of Düsseldorf and worked at the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as at the Federal Patent Court in Munich. Since 2009 she has been working in the field of industrial property protection and since 2012 she has been a German patent attorney. Additionally, since 2014 she became an authorized representative at the European Patent Office, and since 2023 she became a registered representative at the Unified Patent Court.
Since 2015 Anna has been a lecturer in industrial property protection for the medical faculty of the University Hospital Düsseldorf. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Biotechnology Committee of the German Patent Attorneys Association, and since 2020, she has served as its deputy chair.
